The YMCA is a community-based organization that strives to make all programs and services available to everyone. YMCA financial assistance is designed to provide program and membership services within the limits of our resources to anyone regardless of his/her ability to pay the standard fees. The YMCA believes that a strong sense of ownership is developed if the recipient contributes to the cost of membership or program. All Y members receive the same membership benefits, regardless of financial situation.
Planning on bringing a guest with you? Check out our guest policies below for each of our branch locations. You can also access our Guest Waiver Form below that will need to be printed, filled out and returned to the front desk prior to your visit.
The YMCA of Catawba Valley provides local employers with a new approach to employee health. Research has shown an effective wellness program can have significant impact on a variety of health risk factors including cholesterol, blood pressure, cardiovascular disease and obesity. View full details on the benefits and pricing structure for our Corporate Membership Programs.
Prospective members can download a membership application. Bringing in a completed form will expedite the joining process and save you a few minutes. In order for your membership to be debited directly from your checking account, please make sure to also bring in a voided check along with your application. Please note that deposit tickets are not accepted in lieu of checks.
The day you join, you are required to pay a pro-rated amount of the first month of your membership.
Membership refunds: All membership fees and dues are non-refundable. All fees paid in full can be reported to another YMCA for consideration in offering credit toward their requirements.
As a member if any of the following information needs to be updated, it is your responsibility to complete and bring in a “Change Form” at any branch for the following: New Credit Card/Debit Card, New Checking Account, New Address, New Telephone Number, Membership Upgrades/Downgrades.
If your draft does not go through and you have an outstanding balance on your account: It is your responsibility to pay it.
You must come into a branch with a signed “Cancellation Form”. A thirty (30) day notice is required to cancel your membership. Your bank or credit card draft that is due within the thirty days will process as scheduled. After that your membership will be terminated.
