Wellness Orientation

Committed to supporting our community in making everyday choices to be healthy and live well. 

 

The YMCA Wellness Orientation will provide you a foundation for lasting and long-term change. Your wellness coach will be committed to providing the support, knowledge and encouragement needed to motivate and inspire a healthier lifestyle. 

 

Every NEW member will receive 3 FREE wellness orientations to our fitness floor. A trained Wellness Staff will guide you through our fitness center and ensure you are comfortable and confident to tackle your workouts on your own!

 

Program Steps

 

1: SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT

Visit the front desk or a wellness staff member to schedule your first session with a wellness coach.

 

2: COMPLETE THE INITIAL ASSESSMENT

In your first session, the objective will be to establish a wellness baseline. You will meet with your wellness coach to review your health and wellness history and set your long-term goals, both which will support a safe and effective workout plan.

 

3: PLAN OF ACTION

Your wellness coach will help you establish a plan of action to meet your individual goals. This includes creating a personalized workout plan that will provide guidance on the proper use of our state-of-the-art fitness equipment and your specific settings . In addition, you and your wellness coach will evaluate fitness options, like our various GroupEx classes that will support your long-term goals and enhance your experience at our facility.

 

4: IMPLEMENTING YOUR PERSONALIZED PLAN

Your coach will periodically monitor your various workouts to offer advice, guidance and support. After all 3 sessions, you will have the tools to embark on your fitness journey to achieve your goals. After 6 months, members are encouraged to re-enroll in our Wellness Orientation program so that we can continue to motivate and educate you in health and wellness.
