YMCA Summer Camp!
Daily adventures include weekly themes, field games, nature walks, swimming, arts and crafts, silly songs, pickle ball, gaga pit, group time, character development and a summer reading program.
Black & Latino Achievers
The goal of the YMCA Black Achievers Program is to educate and expose youth in grades six through twelve to various career fields in the business industry as well as promote and encourage students to further their education to post-secondary institutions.
Fit for Motion
Fit for Motion is a collaborative effort between the Hickory Foundation YMCA, Hickory Public Schools and the Solmaz Institute for Obesity at Lenoir-Rhyne University. The goal of the program is to develop healthy habits at a young age through nutrition and the importance of 60 minutes of physical activity every day.
The Kids Marathon is not an event to select the fastest runner in the elementary schools. The Kids Marathon is an event to instill the youth of our community are educated on the positive aspects of fitness and healthy lifestyles.
Leaders Club is a national YMCA program that provides middle school and high school students opportunities to receive leadership training that enhances social and emotional growth while teaching the importance of social responsibility and service to others.
Seahorse Swim Team
Originally known as the Hickory Seahorse Swim Team, the team was founded in 1957 by Henry Brown, Director of the Hickory Foundation Center.
Catawba Valley Soccer Club
The YMCA of Catawba Valley Soccer Club (YCVSC) was formed in 2005 to provide a lower cost alternative to competitive soccer in Catawba County
