The YMCA of Catawba Valley is pleased to collaborate with school educators to provide an out-of-school remote enrichment program at the Adrian L. Shuford, Jr., YMCA and at the Hickory Foundation YMCA. Our program is designed to offer:
- Remote Learning & Academic enrichment: Our YMCAs are Wi-Fi friendly and we will provide dedicated space for access to remote learning sessions. The Y will commit to closing the academic achievement gap by providing trained education professionals to aid student’ educational progress, engagement and outcomes.
- Play & Socialization: Kids have the opportunity to explore, try new activities, swim in our pools, utilize the climbing tower, gain independence, and make lasting friendships and memories.
- Flexible Scheduling Options: Our YMCA will provide needed flexibility for families that include options for 1 day, 3 day or 5 day programming per week. We will offer Financial Assistance and accept DSS vouchers.
The YMCA is the leading childcare provider in the nation. At the Y, we know that keeping kids active and engaged is a full-time job. Developing a consistent routine for children is key to making time spent at home successful. The YMCA understands that working from home has its challenges, especially for parents with school-age children who are now learning remotely.
More than just childcare, the YMCA’s School Enrichment program alleviates some of the stress on families who are providing educational instruction to their child in addition to working.
Registration is now open for Y School Enrichment program.
