New Year New You at the Y


It is that time of year once again, when everyone is excited to make a new year’s resolution.  Each year many people make the same resolution as the year before because they did not keep the resolution from the previous year.  In fact, only 8% of people ever actually keep their resolution and by the second week in February 80% of people have already given on their resolution.  This year make a resolution you can stick with and let the Y help.  2016 is the year to make new year new you a priority.

When people think of this idea of new year new you, they think of having to make dramatic life changes when in reality the goal can be broken down into much smaller increments.  Think about making small changes to help get long lasting results.  There are so many little things you can that will make a difference in the long run.  You could eat one more fruit or vegetable today, walk 20 minutes a day, or take a class one time per week.  Making smaller changes are easier can last much longer so you can be part of the 8%.

The Y is always here to help you reach your goals.  If you have failed in keep your resolution in the past, then come to the Y and let us help you reach your goal.  One way we do that is through our coaching connection program.  This program is included in your membership at no additional cost.  This program is for one time per week for 6 weeks.  During those six weeks you will meet with a fitness coach who will tailor a program just for you.  It will be set up with your specific goals in mind.  You will also have 6 different workouts that you can do on your own when you are done.  This is a great way to start your exercise program.  Make new year new you and use the Y to help to get there this year and make 2016 the best year yet.
