YMCA invites you to join free challenge to reenergize spirit, mind and body
HICKORY, NC (November 18, 2020) – Sick and tired of feeling sick and tired in these COVID-19 times? The YMCA of Catawba Valley invites all in the community to participate in a free six-week STRONG challenge designed to help transform spirit, mind and body. “Now, more than ever before we need to recharge and refocus,” said YMCA of Catawba Valley President and CEO Nat Auten. “The COVID-19 pandemic has worn us down. It has isolated us in so many ways. This challenge provides an opportunity to get active and healthier by yourself or as a Strong family.”
The program began on Monday, November 16th. Sign up NOW! It is not too late. You will be able to attend the Y STRONG Challenge classes twice each week in-person or virtually on Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30pm to 7:00pm at Hickory Foundation YMCA or on Tuesday and Thursday from 12:00p.m.–12:30p.m. at the Adrian L. Shuford, Jr., YMCA.
Everyone in the community is invited to workout wherever you are, taking free YMCA live online classes like Zumba, STRONG nation or Stretch break. The complete weekly schedule of classes is available online. You can also participate the challenge by recording your own outdoor activities, like nature walks, bike rides, or hikes.
